The Discseel® Procedure

A non-surgical, FDA-cleared spinal disc treatment for patients suffering from herniated, torn, or degenerated discs after auto accidents, workplace injuries, or other personal injury events.

What it is

Fibrin sealant, not fusion.

The Discseel® Procedure is a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment that uses a biologic fibrin sealant (FDA-cleared, derived from human blood proteins) injected directly into damaged spinal discs under fluoroscopic guidance.

The fibrin seals annular tears, stops the leakage of inflammatory disc material, and creates a scaffold for the body's own healing response. Most patients return home the same day.

"Discseel® addresses the root cause of discogenic pain without the irreversible structural changes of fusion or disc replacement."
The session

One outpatient visit. Local anesthesia. No general anesthesia.

  • Annulogram identifies torn discs under live X-ray.
  • Fibrin biologic is injected into each affected disc.
  • Procedure typically takes 60 to 90 minutes total.
  • No hardware, no fusion, no general anesthesia.
  • Walk out, drive home with a designated driver, return to normal activity over weeks.
Indications

Conditions treated.

The Discseel® Procedure is appropriate for patients with documented disc-related pain from one of the following diagnoses, particularly when conservative treatment has failed and the patient wishes to avoid spinal fusion or disc replacement surgery.

Personal injury practice

For accident and injury patients.

Personal injury patients (motor vehicle collisions, falls, workplace injuries, sports trauma) frequently present with disc-related spine pain that has not responded to conservative treatment. Spinal fusion, the traditional surgical alternative, is structural, irreversible, and often disqualifying for certain occupations and lifestyles.

The Discseel® Procedure offers a documented, biologic, minimally invasive alternative that preserves native anatomy.

Letter of Protection (LOP) accepted

For attorneys handling settlement-funded medical care, the Hillman Ventures partner clinic network accepts Letters of Protection for qualifying personal injury cases. Lien-based billing structured to coordinate with case timeline.

Medical-legal documentation

Imaging reports, treatment notes, and progress records prepared to plaintiff-counsel evidentiary standards. CPT-coded billing summaries available for case file inclusion.

Expedited scheduling for accident cases

Time-sensitive cases (statute of limitations, mediation calendars, settlement deadlines) receive priority intake. Most patients are scheduled within 7 to 14 days of referral.
